OI, I’m fernanda aka ferfetz
I’m Ferfetz, a Brazilian artist, visual teaching artist, and the first immigrant in my family. My work reflects how I move through life, constantly evolving, reconnecting, and expressing emotion through mixed media like spray paint, acrylics, watercolor, and reclaimed materials.
Waste is not an option in my world.
Much of my art centers around the feminine figure in different emotional states, inspired by my own experiences of softness, strength, vulnerability, and growth. My influences come from 90’s anime, street art, skate culture, and street fashion.
As a teaching artist, I work closely with youth, including young people in the juvenile justice system, using murals, painting, and character design to help them tell their stories. I’ve seen how art can heal, connect, and create space for people to feel seen beyond stereotypes, and that’s the same purpose behind the work I create for myself.
